For instance, travellers reach Kushiro (The largest city in Eastern Hokkaido) from Sapporo(The Capital of Hokkaido) using the Limited Express Train Ozora, which takes about 3 hours. Likewise, VIA Rail takes approximately 5 hours to transport them from Toronto to Montreal. For these reasons, travellers must estimate how long it will take to travel from one city to another.

Hokkaido and Canada have many twin cities. I highly recommend that Canadians visit two representative cities, Hakodate(The largest city in Southern Hokkaido) and Ashibetsu(In the Middle Areas of Hokkaido).
Hakodate and Halifax each have their historical site. Goryokaku and Halifax Citadel have star-shaped shapes. Also, these cities have traditional ports. For this reason, these cities started their relationship in 1982. In December, Hakodate City holds the Hakodate Christmas Fantasy. Halifax City ships a large fir tree to Hakodate between November and December. Christmas Event Commission lights up beautiful ornaments and fireworks.
