Hokkaido and Canada

Hokkaido and Canada have a lot of common features, such as environments and cities. For this reason, I like these areas very much. This essay will explain two reasons.

First, Hokkaido and Canada have similar environments. According to the map, Hokkaido is the second-biggest island in Japan. Canada is also the second-largest country in the world. Most travellers would find it fantastic and have amazing scenery. On the other hand, they need to consider the long distances. To illustrate, they go to Kushiro from Sapporo, which takes about 3 hours by the Limited Express Train. Likewise, they go to Montreal from Toronto; it takes roughly 5 hours by VIA Rail. For these reasons, travellers have to estimate how long it takes to travel from one city to another.

Next, these areas have some twin cities. For example, Hakodate and Halifax have their historical sites. They started their history in the 19th century. Goryokaku is a comparable site to the Halifax Citadel. These castles have shaped a pentagon, like a star. As a result, they started a relationship in 1982. Also, Ashibetsu and Charlotte Town are twinning cities. These cities started it in 1993. They constructed the Canadian theme park in Ashibetsu.
